COUGAR CONFIRMED IN NORTHWESTERN NEBRASKA

On June 7 2005, a mountain lion was confirmed near Crawford, Nebraska in the northwestern part of the state. A landowner's dog was barking at a treed mountain lion on the property. The lion retreated undisturbed on his own. A picture taken by NGPC personnel on the scene is shown below.
