Scat
found by researchers. Thin-layer chromatography tests of scats indicated
"probable" cougar.

Scat
and set of tracks found by researchers. Thin-layer chromatography tests of
scats indicated "probable" cougar.

| March, 1999 |
Deer
kill and tracks found in mud. Deer had been dragged over a fence and into an
area of dense bottomland forest where the carcass was consumed. Two cougar
prints were found in the mud along Nowlin Creek near the carcass.

| March, 2000 |
Arkansas Game and Fish Commission biologist reported seeing adult cougar
when boat light shined on the animal where a creek meets Lake Maumelle.
